The platforms I will explain will be WordPressand Blogger. There are other free alternatives such as WordPress.com   that can be very useful to start. The problem is that it is very limited compared to the previous two alternatives.

WordPress is a free content management system focused on the creation of a blog, web or even online store, so if our blog grows, we can be implemented according to our needs. Developed in PHP and MySQL , under GPL license . It is the most popular content manager or  CMS among bloggers because of its great advantages over others, it has a large community behind, with an innumerable number of plugins that will allow us to shape our blog as we move forward with it.

  • At the beginning it may seem complicated, but only at the beginning
  • Free themes are limited in their functions. In the end almost every blogger ends up buying a theme for his blog.

BLOGGER

This is the free platform offered by Google for the creation of our blog. It has a very good advantage, and it is very simple to use, especially if you are a beginner, it is very intuitive, the cost of creating a blog here is zero and the best thing is that we do not have to perform any installation to use it. It also has its disadvantages and it is that you have to read the terms and conditions of Google, from one day to another you can close the blog without any contemplation, losing all the work done from day to night since you do not own the contents made. Always read everything well before accepting.

BLOGGERS ADVANTAGES

According to my personal experience, and after having tried several platforms in different projects, I have been able to see the pros and cons of the most famous content managers or CMS, and in the end I have verified that to make a personal blog and a not very complex website, The best platform is WordPress. It has a large community behind which we can use to clear our doubts, it is very optimized in terms of SEO and with a little time we will be advanced users in the management of WordPress. Another point is that with WordPress we can create blogs, websites and online stores very easily, so if our project grows we can implement the necessary plugins to fit our needs.
