Log in to your Account Manager.

Once we make our selection we see the Template Gallery. Since we are going to call our website Surfing North Shore we are going to look for a template that uses a surfing design. You find your design. Now we are going to place a checkmark in the Sports box and select the Shred template.
To use the template we selected, we need to apply this template to our site. Here is how we do this.
- Click Apply To My Site.
- Confim your selection click OK.
- Click Work on My Site to begin building your website.
Make It Your Own
Before we start, lets look at the Page Designer
This is your dashboard. This is where you will be building your Site. You will manage all features, functions, and capabilities of the website software right here. It's very straight forward. Check it out..
Building your Home Page
We'll start by adding Title text. This is the main Title for our site that will display on every page of our website. Since our domain name is yourdomainname.com our Title is will be Surfing pick a domain name.
This is how to add your Title.
- From the template we chose, click on the words Your Title Text.
- The content block opens, now type or paste in the title of your site.
- Click the icon in the lower-right corner that resembles a disc, to save changes.
Note: If you want to change the font, color or font-size, do this at the upper-left corner.
Changing Title Properties
Now let's change the Browser Title, Heading Title, and Button Title. The Browser Title is the display that visitors see in the address bar when they visit our site, we'll change it to "Surfing North Shore". The Heading Title is the introduction to our site, let's change that to "Surfing the North Shore of Oahu". The Button Title is a link to our home page, from every page of our site, we'll call it "Home".
Here is how we change our Title properties.
Go to Properties.
- Select Page and the Page Properties screen opens.
- Change the Browser Title field to whatever works best for you.
- Change the Heading Title field to whatever Heading Title you like.
- We change the Button Title field to "Home", you can change it or leave it.
- We change the Filename field to "home.html" you can change this if you like.
- Click Apply then click OK to save your changes.
Adding Content
Follow these instructions.
- Click on the content block, where it says "Click here to add a content block".
- The content block opens, now type or paste in the content of your website.
- Click the icon in the lower-right corner that resembles a disc, to save changes.
Note: The content block expands as you increase the amount of text. As you begin to add text a property dialog box opens where you can change the content Properties such as background color, border color, border weight and style, as well as the position of the content block. You can apply Actions to the content block such as, clearing the content to start over or just leaving this content block empty. You can import content from a site backup or share the content of the block in multiple spaces. You can move your text to where ever you like. Using your mouse hold down the left mouse button and drag into position. You can create a template and use this template to set up more pages.
• Adding Images
Since that was so easy, now is a good time to add an image. We're going to add a stock image from the Image Library, to the same content block that holds our text. Click on the block and position your cursor where you want to add an image. In our case, we position our cursor below the last line of text.
Here is how to add your image.
- Click on the Insert tab.
- Go to Images.
- Select Images and the Image Library screen opens.
- Search for tagged images by entering one word descriptions, separated by a comma.
- Select the image you want to add and click OK to insert your selected image.
Adding your About Us page
Here is how we do it..
- Go to Add Pages.
- Select Traditional Page and the Add Pages screen opens.
- Select Copy of existing page.
- Select Home from the drop-down menu.
- Enter About Us in the Page Title field.
- Click the Add Page button.
- Click Apply then click OK to save your changes.
When the next screen opens you can add more pages, for now just click cancel to see your changes.
Adding a Contact Us page
Now let's create a contact page. Visitors will use this page to contact you using this contact form. When a visitor completes this form, the form will send you an email to the email address you used when you set up your account. You may change your email address at anytime. The idea behind using this contact form, is to keep your email address private. Spammers harvest email addresses from the web and send out (junk mail) spam. You want to eliminate as much spam as possible. The form we use does a nice job of handling this task, very easily.
Adding our contact page is simple. We follow the same procedure used to add our About Us page. When you get to the Page Title field, simply enter Contact Us. Now we need to add the contact form so that our visitors can contact us.
Adding a Form
We are going to insert a form into the page we just created. Remember, we made a copy of a previous page, which still has content. BEFORE we add our form, we need to FIRST DELETE the content.
Here is how we do this.
- Click anywhere on the content.
- Delete the content and any images. This space (content block) should now be empty.
Here is how we add the form to our contact page.
- Click on the Insert tab.
- Go to Forms.
- Select Contact Form and the Contact Form screen opens.
- Click OK to insert the form.
Congratulations! You made it.. Now let's publish our website.
Go to Step-3 Publish It
Publish It
Preview and publish your site in one click..
To preview your site, click the Preview button in the upper right-corner of the Page Designer. If you like what you see, click the Publish button. You may want to make a back up of your website prior to publish. This is also a good idea when ever you make website changes, as you may want to restore a previous version later. - Select Restart Site and the Restart Site screen opens
- Place a check mark in the box Back up website before restarting.
- Place a check mark in the box Yes, I want to restart my site.
- Click the Restart Site button.
Note: Disk space used when you make website backups counts against the total available disk space for your account. If you go over the allotted disk space for your site, your account is charged. You can manually create up to 5 backups, in addition to the automatic backups created by Website Builder. When you reach the maximum allowed backups, the system automatically deletes the oldest to make space for the newest. To free disk space, you can also manually delete backups you no longer need.
• Using your existing domain name
Remember in the beginning we talked about using a domain name that you already have. Now we will explain how to use your existing domain with your new site. First, all domain names must be attached to at least two nameservers in order to function on the web. Without nameservers, your domain name will not work, simple as that. It would be like trying to use the Internet without a service provider.
In order to use our hosting service, you must use our nameservers. If you registered your domain name here, follow these instructions. How to set up your domain to work with your new website.
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Next to Domains, click Launch.
- From (Nameservers), select Set Nameservers.
- Select I have a hosting account with these domains.
